ASA Connect: Annual Meeting 6-18-24

FEATURING KRISTIN KING,
DIRECTOR OF CORPORATE AFFAIRS, TRADEPOINT ATLANTIC

In her role as Director of Corporate Affairs for Tradepoint Atlantic, Kristin is responsible for
community engagement and external stakeholder initiatives in addition to managing internal and
external corporate events, directing corporate marketing initiatives, and assisting with government
relations activities. She leads Tradepoint Atlantic’s Community Advisory Board, a group of
like-minded local community leaders who come together periodically throughout the year to discuss
the redevelopment of Sparrows Point as well as how we can collectively support one another in
strengthening and growing southeastern Baltimore County.

Kristin’s background in corporate social responsibility, commercial real estate, and project
management with Baltimore Gas and Electric Company, a subsidiary of the nation’s largest energy
delivery company, along with her government service during County Executive Olszewski’s first term,
make her uniquely qualified for this role. Kristin holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Stevenson University and is
actively pursuing a Master’s Degree from the same.

Kristin lends her spare time and talents to numerous regional nonprofits including Catholic
Charities of Baltimore and the Lighthouse Shelter in Annapolis. She lives in Anne Arundel County
with her young daughter and can be reached by email at kking@tradepointatlantic.com and cell phone
at 240-375- 2870.

What is the Annual Meeting?

ASA of Baltimore holds its Annual Meeting every June, toward the end of its fiscal/membership year (July to June).  Similar to the quarterly Community Action meetings, the Annual meeting also features a speaker, the recognition of members and volunteers, and includes a full dinner and an open bar.  Any proposed changes to the bylaws are discussed and voted on by the members at the Annual Meeting.  The purposes of the Annual Meeting include, (a) informing the membership regarding the prior year’s activities and financial performance, (b) recognizing members, leaders, and staff for their contributions, (c) describing the plans of the chapter and ASA National for the coming year, and (d) providing valuable strategic insights regarding the status of the commercial construction industry in Maryland. Attendance at the Annual Meeting is complimentary for prospective ASA members.
